We are continually adding more and more contracts and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) for software that the agency uses.

The latest edition is SmartBUY, an initiative of the Federal Government to support effective enterprise level software management through the aggregate buying of commercial software government-wide in an effort to achieve bulk savings. Federal Government SmartBUY Initiative Department of Commerce Contracts and BPAs DoC Operating Units can purchase Adobe, Computas, Microsoft (if enrolled in the DoC Enterprise Agreement), Red Hat Linux, and Winzip software products using these contracts and BPAs. The ESRI, ISIResearchSoft, Network Associates (McAfee), and Research Systems Inc. (IDL) contracts and BPAs can only be used by NOAA organizations.
