DOC/NOAA Microsoft Enterprise Agreement with ASAP Software

CONTRACT COVERAGE The Department of Commerce awarded a five year Microsoft Master Enterprise Agreement (EA) on June 30th, 2004 to ASAP Software, a GSA FSS Microsoft Large Account Reseller. Currently, the DOC Microsoft Master Enterprise Agreement includes the following DOC Operating Units and NOAA Line Offices: Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) Economic Development Administration (EDA) International Trade Administration (ITA) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) National Technology and Information Service (NTIS) Technology Administration (TA) US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) NOAA National Environmental, Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) NOAA National Ocean Service (NOS) NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) NOAA Research (OAR) NOAA Corporate Finance and Administrative Services (NCFAS) What Does This Mean to You as an Employee? If your organization is listed, you as an employee can purchase Microsoft software products at significant savings. Enterprise Agreement does not mean "site license". What it means is you can purchase Microsoft products and Sofware Assurance for them through ASAP Software at a discount. Some of your managers have already made purchases of desktop and server products, so you should work with them to determine if they have done so for your office. How to purchase? Either with a purchase request through your servicing procurement office or by placing your order direct using your Government purchase card. A word about Software Assurance(SA). Each organization is entitled to purchase any product that is offered under this Agreement at the Enterprise Agreement volume discount pricing. Your purchase will include the license and Software Assurance coverage. Every license that you purchase through the DOC Microsoft Enterprise Agreement must be purchased with SA. Software Assurance is a maintenance plan that entitles you to any version/release upgrades and many more benefits.
